Welcome to the new FBCTLH.org

If you’re new to Tallahassee, the first time you see First Baptist is not through worship or Bible Study. It’s through the website. Before anyone visits, the first stop on the journey takes place long before they set foot on College Avenue. They visit www.fbctlh.org.

When we first met together in April to talk about your desires at First Baptist, we received the most requests to update our website. With the great leadership of Erin Westberry, Josh Hall, and the creative folks at Taproot Creative, I’m pleased to announce the launch of our new virtual home.

We’ve structured the website through the eyes of a newcomer. It’s designed the way a new resident would check out a place to live in North Florida. When you’re thinking about living here, you can connect with a few people, see what an apartment or house looks like on the outside, learn a bit about the neighbors, and see some of the great things that are happening.

If you’re looking for a church home, you usually want to know about the schedule, staff, beliefs, and ministries. At fbctlh.org, you can do the same. You’ll read about some of the great events going on, connect with our incredible staff team, read about our beliefs, and see some of the incredible things that God is doing here. The beliefs section is adapted from our confession of faith, the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message. The membership information is adapted from our bylaws.

On the website, you can connect, fill out the online form to get more information, and volunteer to help on one of our upcoming projects. Check out the menu to see what’s cooking at the CLC Café. Share generously with your financial resources through our online giving page. You can request prayer or get even more information about following Christ…all in one place.

Our website tells your story. It’s the story of lives that are changed by Christ through First Baptist. I’ll be posting articles periodically, and we invite you to share your stories as well.

Most articles are organized by date. The newest articles appear first. Older stories are archived. Much of the dated information from the old website has been archived.

As always, if you can’t find what you’re looking for on the site, just send us an email, and Erin Westberry will get back with you soon. I’m so grateful to Erin, Josh, and Taproot. They’ve worked so hard in a very short amount of time. So welcome to the neighborhood, and be sure to share the website with a friend.
