Think, Act, Be Day 43: I John 4:10-11
This is Love.
Love is the ongoing sacrifice of one person for another. God demonstrated how. He initiated love by sending his Son to sacrifice for our sins. By doing so, he showed us what true love is and revealed why it is impossible to love this way without Jesus. We are created by God to give up everything we have for someone else. Without God’s power, we’re just a group of nice people trying to make the world a better place. With Jesus’ love in our lives, we become a part of God’s movement to love Tallahassee.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:10-11
