THANKSGIVING OFFERING THIS SUNDAY

On behalf of our entire church family, I would like to extend to you a personal invitation to be a part of a very special Thanksgiving Offering. This Sunday, November 27, during our combined worship service you will have an opportunity to tangibly express your gratitude for God’s faithfulness and blessings upon our church. In addition to the collection of our regular tithes and offerings, we will be accepting a special Thanksgiving Offering.

Even during this interim season, God has continued to use the people of First Baptist in amazing ways. He has blessed us with a dedicated and talented pastoral staff, committed lay leaders, and faithful members who have made themselves available to lead us throughout this past year. From our growing Children’s Ministry to our continued missions activities, First Baptist remains a vibrant beacon for Christ in our capital city and into the world around us.

However, as you are probably aware, our church is currently experiencing a shortfall in our budgeted giving. This upcoming Thanksgiving Offering will not only help reduce this shortfall, it will allow us to ensure that we are ready to move into the coming year without restricting any of our planned ministry efforts.

I invite you to help us continue the wonderful work that God has started in this place. To participate in this effort, just use one of the Special Thanksgiving Offering envelopes that will be in our pews this Sunday. If you prefer to participate through our e-giving program, you can simply use the online option marked Special Thanksgiving Offering.

Most of all, I ask that you continue to be in prayer for our church finances and for our Pastor Search Committee as they continue their good work in discerning God’s will for this, His church. I look forward to seeing each of you this Sunday in worship.

Rejoice Always!
