Steve is in charge of the daily management of church facilities, finances, and much of personnel. He also acts as the staff liaison to many church committees, such as the Property Committee, the Finance Committee, and CLC Committee, the Weekday Education Committee, and the Insurance Committee. He runs this place.
After being baptized at age 10, Steve began to fully understand the grace of God in Jesus Christ in his mid-20s, and has been working through the power of the Holy Spirit to serve Him ever since. Steve grew up in Wauchula, Florida, as did his college sweetheart, Jane, to whom he has been married for 36 years. He graduated from The Florida State University with a degree in Accounting, and prior to joining the staff of FBCTLH he worked as a CPA and in the management of governmental and non-profit organizations.
In addition to serving in ministry at FBCTLH, Steve also serves on the board of The Shelter and spends a good amount of personal time there. He loves FSU sports, fishing, and hunting, and his favorite place is anywhere next to a large body of water.
Steve was a DJ for a 500-watt country radio station while in college. “WAUC, the voice of the upper Peace River Valley. 1310 on your radio dial.” (500 watts, signed off at sundown per FCC regulations for radio stations with less power than a hair drier.)
