First Baptist Church of Tallahassee is all about the gospel of Jesus Christ. With more than 1,100 active members, we are thankful for how God has worked in our midst and full of hope for how he might continue to help us spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. As you decided to follow Jesus, we invite you to become a part of us, First Baptist Church.
• God created us to know him and make him known. Although we have separated ourselves from him and his purposes through our sin, God has done everything necessary to bring us back to himself and rescue us from our sin.
• God the Father sent God the Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life in our place, die the death we deserve as a just penalty for our sin, and rise from the dead to bring us life.
• When we believe that Jesus did this for us, turn from all other ways of living, and follow him as our Savior and King, our relationship with God is restored, and we are rescued from sin and death. Following Jesus makes us citizens of God’s kingdom, living with him and for him in all things.
Our purpose and goal as a church is to follow Jesus together by striving to honor him in all things, loving and serving others in his name, and helping others follow him, too. We are committed to ministering to one another, people all around the Tallahassee area, and even to the ends of the earth.
