It’s time for Backpack-a-palooza – an important effort to equip at-risk students with supplies for this next school year. Consider adopting a student who is residing at HOPE Community, Tallahassee’s temporary housing for homeless families transitioning to stable housing.

Things will look a little different this year. We are giving you the option to do the shopping or we can do the shopping for you! You may be able to pick up a name in the Welcome Center on 7/11 or 7/18 and return a completed backpack on 8/4 OR we are asking for a donation of $35 per student. This way, each student will receive a backpack filled with supplies such as spiral notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, a pencil sharpener, glue sticks, crayons, a ruler, scissors, colored pencils, filler paper, markers, etc.

Those purchasing backpacks will be sent the name and age of the child receiving the supplies. We encourage you to pray for your student throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Last year, First Baptist supplied about 100 backpacks, giving students a great start to the school year.
The deadline has been extended to August 4. Sign up today!
