Donations for Afghan Refugees

Tallahassee has welcomed more than 40 Afghan refugees to our city and will welcome many more! These refugees are arriving with very limited possessions. FBCTLH has volunteered our Connect Center to be a collection site for donations. The following items are needed…
Hygiene Items

Men’s pants size 32 waist and smaller
Men’s long sleeve knit shirts size medium and small
Men’s jackets and coats size medium and small
Women’s coats size medium and small – Please hold off on women’s clothing donations at this time.
Children’s coats

Furniture:Please hold off on furniture donations at this time, as they do not have space to accommodate.
Beds and Frames: Twin only (new or gently used)
Bedroom: Nightstands
Bed Linens: Twin and queen sets and comforters (new or gently used, well-washed) of the same sizes
Living Room Furniture: Couches and chairs for living rooms.
Dining Room: Need dining tables that seat 4 or less with chairs (new or gently used)

Other items: Please hold off on these other donations at this time, as they do not have space to accommodate.
Please note that we are only accepting new and full sets of these items currently –
Pot and pans
Coffee cups
Glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware
Microwaves, tea kettles, rice cookers, and toasters
Cookie sheets and baking pans
