Scripture Reference: Mark 16:1-8
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Before Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome arrived at the tomb, the problem they were trying to manage had already been solved. They worried about rolling a stone away from the entrance. Instead, resurrection removed any obstacle in their path and opened a door to new life. At first, these women were terrified and amazed. But on their way to Galilee, they received resurrection courage.
Resurrection removes whatever we’re trying to manage. Everyone has some sort of obstacle, or stone, that needs to be removed. Resurrection power removes the stone. When we believe the message, we too receive courage. People with resurrection courage have these characteristics:
Before we worshiped the risen Lord, Christ’s resurrection has already removed our worries. His power does not usually solve our problems the way we thought he would.
