Scripture Reference: Mark 7:24-30

Today, we met a mother with courageous faith. She came from a different racial and economic background than Jesus, but she reached out to him with courageous faith. He crossed the walls that divided his world and invites us to follow him to do the same.

Jesus invites us to engage in a ministry of reconciliation in three ways.

1. Humility – We don’t have all the answers to race and poverty, but Jesus does.
2. Listening – We listen to each other’s wounds.
3. Love – We treat each other’s children as our own children.
