Haiti 2019 Update

Over the last few days, FBCTLH has had a team of volunteers serving the people of Haiti. Arriving on Sunday, July 21, they immediately got to work providing and assisting with food distribution of 25lbs bags of rice to local families, worshipping with other believers, and ministering the gospel in prayer meetings.

Throughout the rest of the week, ministry continued with hundreds of children participating in Vacation Bible School lessons about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The days also included English classes for children and youth. The team also joined with the Dorcas ministry visiting women in the church to pray for them and offer assistance as needed.

In addition to prayer and preaching, the team has also helped meet practical needs as well. Tables and benches were constructed for the JoyHouse, in Gressier. The JoyHouse began as an orphanage that provided education, physical, and spiritual support for children. For over 20 years, it has not only continued that mission but expanded it to become a missions center that serves 4 area churches and 2 orphanages while facilitating additional ministries.

This Sunday at 10:00AM, in the Fellowship Hall, hear a report of what God did during the trip to Haiti from members of the volunteer team. The report will take place during the SMBS hour, and all are welcome to attend.

Continue to pray for the people of Haiti. That God would draw them closer to him and meet their needs, physical and spiritual. Pray also that God would use the volunteers traveling to bring glory and honor to his name by their acts of service.

Below are a few photos of the team ministering in ministering in Haiti.
