Minister of Children and Women's Ministries
The women’s ministry at FBCTLH exists to equip and empower women of all ages and life stages to be disciple-makers who live out and share their faith within their neighborhoods, communities, and beyond. Using Bible studies, ministry and mission opportunities, and fellowship events, our goal is to enrich the lives of the women in our church family and community for the glory of God.
FBCTLH equips all women through weekly Bible studies and occasional conferences, retreats, or special events. Women of all ages are invited and welcome to join us for these Equipping events. Currently, we are offering the following:
To empower the women of FBCTLH to be disciple-makers who live out and share their faith, we offer opportunities throughout the year for women to do just that. All women are invited to engage in our Women on Mission groups, intentional events, custom experiences, and service opportunities throughout the year. Check our calendar for upcoming events or e-mail Jenny Whitaker for details.
Women on Mission Groups: Each group meets monthly from September through May to participate in and support missions work locally and around the world. All FBCTLH ladies are invited to participate! For more information about our monthly projects, meeting dates, or joining a group, please contact Jenny Whitaker.
Women’s Ministry Kick-Off Event: Each September our Women’s Ministry will gather for a time of fellowship and to hear about all upcoming opportunities for the year (September through May).
Strategic Summer Event(s): During the summer, our Women’s Ministry will host an event for all women in our church, providing the opportunity to connect with one another through fellowship and support a local ministry.
Annual Retreat: Whether we travel outside of Tallahassee or stay close to home, each year, the Women’s Ministry will offer a retreat, giving women an opportunity to grow closer to Christ and one another.
Secret Sister Ministry: Women of all ages can sign-up to be part of our Secret Sister ministry, which kicks off in January. Women will be assigned a secret sister, whom they will support through prayer and anonymous notes of encouragement throughout the year. Secret Sisters will be revealed the following December. Registration for this ministry opens in October. Women must submit this form by November 15 to participate.
