CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICES

Christmas Eve has always been a special time at First Baptist, and this year will be no exception. In an effort to spread out the crowd that usually attends the 6 PM candlelight service and create the safest environment possible, we are going to have two identical services this Christmas Eve; one at 4 PM and the other at 6 PM.

What happens to our 4 PM Family Christmas Eve? Well, this special year we want our families with small children to come together with the larger church family to rejoice and worship. We have so much to be grateful for and it seems fitting that for this Christmas we would all join together – as much as possible – to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Both services will feature a children’s sermon by Jacob Chilton as well as the traditional candlelight singing of Silent Night. They will run about 45 minutes with the addition of congregational carols and a brief sermon by Pastor Shultz. An interpreter for the deaf will be at the 4 PM service. For those who are not able to join us in person for Christmas Eve services, the 4 PM service will be livestreamed on the Web site, YouTube, and Facebook. It will be re-posted at 6 p.m. on Facebook.
