UPDATE ON COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING/MASK PRACTICES

Two weeks ago we announced that we were targeting Sunday, May 30, as the day we would fully relax our social-distancing practices, which included removing the ropes from every other pew and only encouraging masks as optional for those who need or would like to continue wearing them. However, at the end of last week the CDC updated their guidelines for masks, stating that those who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks outdoors or indoors. In response to this, many businesses and organizations moved to change their policies on wearing masks. In light of these new developments, we are moving up our date for relaxing our social-distancing practices to this Sunday, May 23. While masks will be optional, we will continue to have them available at our entrances for those who would like to wear one.

I look forward to worshipping with you all this weekend as we celebrate Pentecost, the day Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit upon us, his church. This Sunday we will also recognize our high school graduates, a wonderful thing to do on Pentecost as we remember that the Holy Spirit continually sends us forth to live in him and for him.

God bless,
