Ladies’ Prayer Retreat
- Location: Fellowship Hall and College Basement
This prayer retreat, sponsored by our Women’s Ministry, is designed to deepen ladies’ understanding and practice of prayer through biblical teaching, reflection, and practice. Sessions explore foundational questions such as what prayer is, why we pray, and how to pray, alongside different types of prayer including personal, corporate, and intercessory prayer, with the ACTS model as a framework. Drawing from prayers recorded in Scripture – such as those of Jesus, Daniel, David, and Moses – the retreat also examines God’s response to prayer and addresses hard questions about unanswered prayer.
Participants will engage in reflective practices, including evaluating their own prayer lives, praying the Bible using insights from Praying the Bible by D.S. Whitney, and immersing themselves in the Psalms through a psalm activity. The retreat highlights the use of Psalms in the New Testament and early Christian worship, encouraging a richer, more faithful prayer life rooted in Scripture.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
