Pam Cooke

Associate Minister of Music
Pam Cooke

Pam currently coordinates the Contemporary Worship service, including directing and preparing the Praise Team singers, and accompanying the Praise Band at the piano with our worship leader, George Feijoo.  She also directs the Youth Choir which involves preparing them for singing in worship, directing their annual Dessert Theatre fundraiser, and coordinating the Youth Choir Mission Trip each summer.  One of her favorite parts of her job is helping young musicians grown in their faith.

Pam was raised in a Christian home and became a follower of Jesus at age 9 and was baptized at Spencer Memorial Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida.  She continued to grow in faith after moving to the Atlanta area, and upon arrival at FBCTLH in college at Florida State University.  After graduating from FSU with a degree in Music Education, she taught school in Dekalb County, Georgia before returning to Tallahassee and First Baptist Church in 1992.

Pam is married to Jim, who gets the “best husband ever” award from his wife. They have two children in college: son Quinn and daughter Abby.
