Think, Act, Be, Day 1- John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12
This morning, we begin a new series called, “Think, Act, and Be” like Jesus. We’re studying the beliefs, practices, and fruit of a follower of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John tells us that all those who received Jesus are also those who believe him. Believing is a decision to follow the one who called us to be his children. We don’t believe simply because one day we decided to follow Jesus. He has called every person on earth—including you—to make this decision. When you believe him, it’s like you’ve welcomed a guest into your home who suddenly takes over everything—your thoughts, your food, your lifestyle, your friends, even your toys. Little did you know, until he came, that he was there to rescue you for a whole new journey as one of God’s children. Like children learning to ride a bicycle again, we’re invited to listen to God’s voice and journey with him. So welcome, brothers and sisters. I’m so glad you’re a part of God’s work here. Let’s learn to ride together.
