The Church and the Racial Divide

On Sunday, August 9, a new six-week Sunday Morning Bible Study series will kick-off entitled, “The Church and the Racial Divide,” produced by The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention and published by Lifeway.

This video-based Bible Study will shed light on issues of race, culture, and the gospel, and open the door for honest discussions about racial reconciliation and the role we have to play in that gospel imperative. This is an important time in our nation’s history, and we, as a church, must lead in what is a practical application of the gospel truth of Jesus Christ’s salvation for all.

The class will meet in person at the FBCTLH campus during the Sunday Morning Bible Study hour at 10:15AM and is open to anyone who would like to participate. The discussion will be streamed via Zoom for those who wish to join virtually. The classes will be led by a different pastoral staff member or SMBS teacher each Sunday.

If you would like to participate, email Stacey Getz by Friday, July 31, to reserve your study guide and to confirm whether you will attend online or in-person. This will help us know how many study guides to order, as well as how much space we will need to accommodate those of you who want to meet face-to-face. Thank you for helping us plan accordingly!
