‘WHAT WE BELIEVE’ SERIES
Beginning on Sept. 7, all our Wednesday night Bible studies, including children, youth, college, women, men, and the Pastor’s Bible study after our corporate prayer time, will begin working through a “What We Believe” series on the great truths of our faith. The first half of this series will be this fall, and the second half will begin next January. Using the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our guide and starting point, this fall we will examine our understandings of Scripture, God, humanity, salvation, and the church.
Today, more than ever, it is imperative as believers that we understand what God says in his Word about these issues, and how our understanding should make a difference in our lives today. Each generation of believers bears the responsibility of guarding the treasury of truth that has been entrusted to us (2 Timothy 1:14), and each church bears the responsibility of being the “pillar and support of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15). What we believe forms the foundation of how we worship, serve, and live on mission together.
We hope you will make it a priority to attend one of our Bible studies this fall as we pursue a firmer grounding in God’s truth together. Look forward to seeing you there!
