Tenebrae

Tenebrae (Latin for “darkness” or “shadows”) is a service held to commemorate the Passion and death of Christ through a gradual extinguishing of candles. It symbolizes the deepening shadows of Christ’s suffering and the abandonment by his disciples. This service will include scripture readings as well as music from our Sanctuary Choir, College Avenue Singers, Chamber Players, and Praise Team.
